New Companion-Elder Tonks, Referral From Sister Missionaries in Salt Lake City

There comes a time when all good things must come to a change in order to grow, and that time has come again. Elder Murri will be leaving and going to Watford, and I am staying and getting Elder Tonks as my new companion. I will be killing Elder Tonks because he goes home at the end of this transfer.

My whole mission I have been on the search for creative ways to talk with people on the street, and I finally found one that seems to work: a harmonica. A few weeks ago I found a harmonica in a box in our flat, and I've been teaching myself how to play it. They are sometimes called mouth organs over here, which I thought was pretty cool. I'm not very good at playing but it's enough to put a smile on people's faces.

We have had a crazy series of miracles happen this week as well. Last Sunday, we got a referral of a girl from Northern Ireland by the name of Louise. Whenever someone goes to mormon.org and requests to meet with us, it goes to a place where missionaries can contact the person within minutes, and then it is assigned to an area, like Duston here.

Keep all that in mind. We saw Louise and had a great lesson with her on Saturday and she came to church with us the next day. Jumping back to the states, my family is in Utah right now for a trip, and they decided to take a trip to Salt Lake to walk around Temple Square. All the sisters there have flags of the country where they are from, and my mom noticed one from England. This sister, Sister Mark, is from Wembley! I knew her family when I was there just a few weeks ago. Here is where the story gets crazy. They got talking about an amazing referral they just sent to England, and they made the connection that they sent it to me! So my family got to meet the sisters that sent Louise to us, and also meet someone from where I was serving. There is no way that happened just by chance.

This week is transfers, so tomorrow I go into London again to get Elder Tonks and then we come back. We've got district meetings this week, and just busy in general.

Cheers!
